About us

Rage Lanka is a Sri Lankan non-profit organization established in 29 July 2023, dedicated to eliminating workplace harassment, ragging, and abuse. Founded by Attorney-at-Law Yasu-e Edussuriya and Dr. Taveesh Edussuriya, it stands as a voice for those silenced by fear and injustice.

Who are we?

Rage is a volunteer-driven collective of passionate professionals, university students, and advocates committed to eradicating ragging and harassment in Sri Lankan universities.

Our team includes lawyers, doctors, psychologists, policy experts, writers, lecturers, and students who work together to raise awareness, support victims, and challenge the culture of ragging.

Why was Rage created?

Rage was created to challenge the culture of ragging and to ensure that students have access to support, guidance, and resources if they experience harassment or abuse within universities.

What does Rage do?

RAGE works to raise awareness about ragging, provide guidance and support to affected students, advocate for safer university environments, and promote leadership and respect among students.

Does Rage provide legal support?

Yes. Through a network of volunteer lawyers and professionals, Rage helps guide students and families on possible legal options and can connect them with pro bono legal assistance where appropriate.

Is Rage affiliated with any university or political group?

No. RAGE is an independent, volunteer-led organization focused solely on addressing ragging and harassment and supporting student safety.
